"Moheee, Moheee, Moheee to Ghana"
About Moheee
What To Know
“MoHeee” is a Ga-Dangme word that means “Welcome” in English. In different Ghanaian languages, it is also “Akwaaba” in Twi, “Woezor” in Ewe, “Zaar3” in Frafra and “A’maraba” in Dagbanli.
The Ga-Dangme people are a dominant ethnic group here in Ghana who reside mainly in the Greater Accra Region.
Historically, they were two distinct groups but were oftenreferred to collectively because of their cultural similarities and geographical proximity. The Ga-Dangme people have a rich history and till today, maintain their cultural practices, language and traditions which contributes immensely to Ghana’s cultural diversity and heritage.
